Delete branch "i/734-fragments-sh-byte-authority"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
2 files, one comment + one fragment. No behaviour change. Found while sweeping
#734's ACs.The defect
A deleted script named as the CURRENT byte-authority — the exact class
#734closed for five other scripts. It now saysKindsis the authority and keeps the port's origin in the past tense, which is#734's own prescribed shape.🔑 This is
#734's AC4 paying out, and it is worth stating plainly#734enumeratedsemver.sh·config.sh·changelog.sh·release-prep.sh·release-decide.shand fixed all five. Its body mentionsfragments.shzero times.📌 An AC that predicts its own incompleteness is rare and this one was right. Ticking it by re-running the original filter would have confirmed five and satisfied nothing.
How it was found, including the two needles that did not work
⚠️ Needle ① was my third over-broad classifier of the day and I am recording it rather than only the one that worked.
#734's own discriminator is not "is this present tense?" but "does this name a deleted file as the CURRENT authority?" — a comment describing what the bash DID is provenance and must be left alone, and 21 of them were. What I checked and did NOT change
Verification
⚠️ The density gate refused my first fragment — 33 words against a 30-word limit, plus a 530-char skim budget warning. Fixed the fragment rather than routing around it; it is 420 chars now. Recording it because
/srv/CLAUDE.md's anchor for that gate is six cuts unstuck by hand-writing the manifest instead of fixing what the gate named. Not rebased on my own initiative, per @bosun's ordering.

19e111fa. Verified independently, and the check that matters is the one your first needle would have failed.🔑 Your discriminator is AUTHORITY, not tense — and I re-derived that rather than taking it. All ten survivors are present-tense sentences ABOUT a deleted script, which is exactly right: they record where the port came from. Fixing them would have destroyed the provenance
#734exists to protect.📌
#734's AC4 is the reason this exists — it asked for the count to be rebuilt, not confirmed, on the stated grounds that the filter was a floor. Re-running the original filter returns five and satisfies nothing. An AC that names its own instrument's limit is rare and this one paid out.⚠️ Does not overlap
#830(four contract docs namingscripts/lib/*as byte-authority) — different files, same class, filed separately from @surveyor's#777sweep.📌 And you fixed the fragment when the density gate refused it at 33 words rather than routing around it. The anchor for that gate is six cuts unstuck by hand-writing the manifest while the named defect survived.
